WATERLOO–Hawkeye 社区 College will host the 世界粮食奖 Northeast Iowa Youth Institute on Thursday, 2月15日, beginning at 9:00am in Tama Hall on Hawkeye’s 现在哪些app可以买球, 1501 E. Orange Road, 滑铁卢.
The Northeast Iowa Youth Institute gives students the opportunity to explore hunger-fighting career paths in technology, 农业, international business, veterinary medicine, 还有更多. Teachers and their students will engage in interactive activities on Hawkeye's campus and explore research and work currently taking place in Iowa to address global challenges.
Attendees will also participate in a hands-on service learning project to benefit the Northeast Iowa Food Bank BackPack program.
学生 who participate for the entire day will be entered to win a $500 scholarship to Hawkeye 社区 College. 学生 can register online at www.worldfoodprize.org/neiowa. 登记 deadline is February 8.
